Our Groups
We have various groups throughout the week. Everything we do is underpinned in prayer with all our groups praying at each of their meetings. You would be very welcome to come along and join us.

EnerJ
This runs on a Sunday during Church at East Calder.
Bible based stories, crafts, games and activities for children aged 3-10. The children leave for
their activities after a children’s talk and song in the Church service.
Youth Church
An opportunity to explore the Bible and life in a safe, fun environment through chat, activities
and games. For young people aged 11-16.
This runs on a Sunday during Church at East Calder. The young people leave for Youth Church
during the Morning Worship Service.

Prayer Group
The prayer group meets in East Calder Church on a Monday from 7.30pm-8.30pm for a time of
prayer lifting all things, large and small, to our Father God leaving them at the foot of His cross
and waiting with anticipation to see His tender care answer our prayers in His time and
according to His Will.
House Groups
House Groups meet throughout our villages on various days and times at people’s homes. Our
groups look at different Bible passages then discuss them and the relevance they have to our
lives today. House Groups are also a time for prayer, sharing and fellowship, supporting each
other in a small group environment as each group encourages each other on their Faith Journey.

Boys’ Brigade
We have 3 sections in our BB Company meeting on a Friday night in East Calder Church Hall:
• Anchor Boys for primary 1-primary 3 - 6.30pm-7.30pm
• Junior Section for primary 4-primary 6 - 6.30pm-8.00pm
• Company Section for primary 7-S6 - 7.45pm-9.30pm
All sections explore the Bible in a fun and relative way before taking part in games, crafts, activities and sports building on their learning and forming solid friendships that will help to nurture and encourage their BB journey.
There is a great opportunity and encouragement to work towards badges and awards with the top award being the King’s Badge that our older Boys complete their BB Journey by achieving before moving on to often become young leaders.
The Guild
The Guild has around 30 members who meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month in East
Calder Church Hall from 2pm-3pm. A time to enjoy socialising whilst having speakers sharing
experiences. For example a charity, or what a particular song or Bible passage means to them.
A great supportive group where there is light-hearted chat and care shared.

Drop-in Coffee Mornings
Held regularly in Ratho Church Hall from 10.30am to 12.00 noon
